REMINDERS
* Registered delegates must wear their VRPS badge and present their VRPS Conference Social Ticket (cost included in full registration fee) or guest ticket at the door.

* Non-registered guests may purchase event tickets at the Conference Registration Desk in the Presidents Ballroom lobby during scheduled registration hours.

* Many socials will have a cash bar available:  MUST SHOW VALID ID FOR DRINK PURCHASES!

* Grab & Go food stations will be available Sunday-Tuesday mornings 6:30-9:30am where attendees may purchase assorted and individually priced breakfast items.

SATURDAY, September 7
  • The 1pm Hands On Social Media Institute will be held at the James City County Government Complex located at 101 Mounts Bay Road, Building F.  Nancy Ellis (757-784-4172), from James City County, will be there to check you in and serve as room host - no need to go by the Conference Hotel first. 
  • Delegate Registration will be 12-5pm in the President's Ballroom Lobby.
  • Dress is Casual for the Welcome Social, 6-8pm, at the Cove Tavern.
  • Bus shuttles for the Welcome Social depart the President's Ballroom Entrance at 5:30pm and 5:45pm.  Thereafter buses will run in 30-minute increments until 8:30pm

Please take the time to complete both session and overall evaluations during your 2013 VRPS Annual Conference.  Your feedback is valued and considered in planning and preparation for 2014 VRPS Annual Conference, as well as other VRPS endeavors. 

COMING UP SUNDAY 
  • Delegate Registration will be 7am-5pm in the President's Ballroom Lobby.
  • Exhibitor Registration will be 10:30am-3:30pm in the back of the President's Ballroom.
  • Lunch is on your own 11:15am-12:30pm between morning and afternoon educational sessions.
  • Bus shuttles for the Social Showdown depart the President's Ballroom Entrance at 8:15pm and 8:30pm.  Thereafter buses will run in 30-minute increments until midnight.
  • If you plan to enjoy the "Go Ape Treetop Adventure Course", you must wear closed toe shoes!

  • Keeping Out of Legal Hotwater - Impacts of Under "18's" as Employees and Volunteers:  moved FROM Tuesday 11:30am TO Monday 8:30am
 SPEAKER CHANGES
  • Monday, September 9, 10am:  Weed Control Under Trafficked Turf Conditions.  New speaker is Michael Cox.
  • Monday, September 9, 10am:  From Battlefield to Homefront:  The VA Wounded Warrior Program.  New speakers are Brandi Jancaitis and Harry Davis.

The 2014 VRPS Annual Conference committee welcomes our host of the 60th VRPS conference, the Omni Homestead, to James City County. Be sure to have BUSINESS CARDS IN HAND when you visit the exhibit hall, stop by the Homestead table, and enter for a drawing to win a 2 night stay for 2, including breakfast each morning and 2 rounds of golf for 2.  This can be used during 2014 (any date restrictions will be provided to the winner and cannot be redeemed during the 2014 VRPS Annual Conference dates). The winner will be announced during the VRPS 2012 Awards banquet Monday evening.
