NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES ASSOCIATION (NSGA) PARTNERS WITH

The National Senior Games Association is excited to announce its partnership with Post Shredded Wheat.

Through February 24, 2014, Post Shredded Wheat, with the help of fans across America, will petition the NSGA to add a new demonstration sport into the National Senior Games.  Americans can help choose the new demonstration sport for the 2015 National Senior Games presented by Humana by visiting a website where voters will choose from among five sports - fencing, judo, power walking, soccer, or weightlifting.

Post Shredded Wheat Team Coach and television/film actor Ralph Macchio (aka "The Karate Kid") will invite Americans to vote on which demonstration sport athletes could face in a 2014 State Senior Games, as well as in the 2015 National Senior Games.

In addition to the sport campaign, adults over the age of 50 will be eligible to get in the game by visiting the website and entering for the chance to win a grant to compete in an eligible 2014 State Senior Games and join Team Post Shredded Wheat.  Winners will receive:
  • One individual 2014 State Senior Games registration fee
  • Team Post Shredded Wheat gear (T-Shirt and gym bag)
  • One month's supply of heart healthy Post Shredded Wheat
Deadline to submit entries for the grant is February 24, 2014.
