Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant and care for trees.  Although usually observed in the spring, the date varies, depending on climate and suitable planting season.  In Virginia, Arbor Day coincides with National Arbor Day, which is the last Friday in April.  This year, Arbor Day is Friday, April 25, 2014.
